M16 have just launched the start of their new online recruitment campaign and it aims to attract a new audience (away from the old school campaigns). The BBC are certainly aiding this promotion and now everyone can see an interview with a “serving spy” from the secret intelligence agency and join their face book group, currently standing at 1300+ members.

A recent survey by AllTheTopBananas.com suggests that the average salary in the UK is £20 per hour, this equates to £31,969 a year. A list of 20 of the jobs, which are prediced to experience future job growth, can be found on the MSN careers site. It lists Business Analysts, Chartered Accountants, Sales Manager, PR Managers and Web developers.

Monster Employment Index – Further Dip for August 2008
The Monster Employment Index was launched in June 2005 and is a monthly insight into the recruitment trends within the UK. It is based on the review of millions of job opportunities which have been culled from corporate career websites and job boards across the UK. Summary
The Monster Employment Index has fallen by 7 points in August, which is the 5th dip in the last 6 months and worryingly, there has been no growth this month (when compared to the same month last year). This is the first time this has happened since the index began.
