SimplyHired.co.uk have just sent me their Press Release for today’s launch which gives them the first personalised job search experience by integrating with facebook. This means that job seekers can now utilise their facebook profile and friends on SimplyHired.co.uk to accessed customised job content.
I haven’t tried it yet, but apparently if you login with facebook you will be able to discover jobs based on your current or previous work titles, location, interests and your friends companies. From the search results page you will also be able to browse friends’ companies who have job openings too - How clever is that?
In a recent poll on SimplyHired.co.uk it was established that 43% of respondents devote at least half the time they spend searching for a job on social media sites. The doors are truly open now for passive candidates, but is this the next generation of job search?

A study of more than 1400 graduates by TMP & Targetjobs has revealed that 79% of graduates think that online social networking sites are key to employee engagement however, 70% do not want businesses to “sell” the jobs. There are some really good stats in the OnRec article.
