Although the deal was struck between Jobsite and Johnson press on the 20th July 2009, the partnership has gone live this week. This is a fantastic improvement on the newspaper job board which powers JobsToday, Scotsman.com/Jobs and JobsToday.ie across its 300 plus regional websites. HR Connexions have advertised on JobsToday since it was launched, this site really has helped our customers attract local talent and the new partnership can only mean improved statistics for our clients.
CW Jobs are running their fantasy football league again for 2009/2010 and its exclusive to to IT recruitment industry.
Executivesontheweb.com have launched their mobile site. Designed to allow executive job seekers access to vacancies through their mobile devise.

Stepstone have launched Talent Strategy Assessment .com which is supposed to help organisation benchmark their current talent management processes against best practices. It’s an online process made up of 19 multiple choice questions. It could probably help and prompt some useful thoughts into current Talent Management processes for HR Managers. There is a useful guide to download once you have completed the assessment.
The CIPD have updated their free quarterly survey report on job seeking in a recession. The overall Job seeker satisfaction score remains high at +48
Finally, Twitter has suffered a denial-of-service attack. As part of their defense against the attack, they have blocked a large number of IP addresses. This means that many of the applications that broadcast to twitter have been blocked and subsequently are unable to offer their key services. Normal service for some applications may not resume until after the weekend.

Peter Gold has condensed some of the highlights from The Aberdeen Group Report: HR Exec’s Guide to Web 2.0. on Hire strategies. The full report is a 28 page document and worth a read as it demonstrates the usage and success of web 2.0 for recruitment & talent management. (Recruitment has seen a 105% growth of web 2.0 tools).
Hire Strategies has also set up an affiliates scheme to help drive traffic to their workshops. This could be useful to all those in the industry who are helping employers to reduce the cost of recruitment!
Job Board News: JobServe have introduced a P4P (Pay for Performance) service and Total Jobs are gearing up for the largest piece of international labour research ever.
